 To check masons’ availability;
 To assess whether the trained masons have been using earthquake
resistant shelter construction skills appropriately;
 To examine impact of the training on masons’ livelihood.

RCSC to support earthquake recovery framework of Nepal Red Cross

Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) has assured financial and technical assistance to Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) for construction of a central warehouse.

This support was announced during a 3-day high level visit of RCSC team led by Vice President Wang Hailing, starting from 4th January that completed today. RCSC visiting team included Yu Liying, Deputy Director, Hai Liman, Head of International Cooperation Division and Chen Yue, International Cooperation Division, External Liaison Department.

Sindhupalchok: urgent need for support

The Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) is carrying out support activities and Non-food relief (NFRI) item distribution for 204 families in the Mankha, Ramche, Dhuskun, and Tekanapur areas of Sindhupalchok. The situation led people in 11 other districts to abandon their homes in river bank to safe areas over the days. Mr. Talchabhadel, president of Sindhupalchok Red Cross branch and other volunteers from the Red Cross branch and National Headquarters are meeting people directly affected by the landslide.
