Nepal Red Cross Society(NRCS) Chairman Mr. Sanjiv Thapa this  Friday received an Honorary Doctorate degree in South Korea. It is his the first doctorate since becoming leader of the NRCS.

The number of floods and landslides affected families from 21st June to 31st July 2016 has reached 12,519. NRCS national headquarters has dispatched 2291 set family kits and additional 250 Pieces of Tarpaulins and 250 pie

More than 35 districts of the country have been affected  by flood and landslide due to heavy rainfall. One hundred eleven people lost their life, 34 injured and 9 are missing. According to district sources of NRCS, 6,606 families are displaced. A total of  10,519 families affected.
