The recent flash flood in Rasuwa have caused significant damage and loss of life. As of the latest updates from NDRRMA situation report-5, the death toll stands at 157, 826 still missing. Rescue operations are ongoing, and the government has activated a multi-agency response to assess the damage and provide relief. The situation remains critical, and authorities are urging residents to stay informed and follow safety guidelines.
So far, 165 bodies have been found in the flood-affected areas, yet to be identified. In the flood-affected areas, 44 personnel from the Nepal Army, 28 from the local police posts, and 13 from the Armed Police Force Nepal have been deployed. According to the Nepal Aviation Board, preliminary reports say a total of 579 peiple including 466 foreigners and 113 Nepalese passengers, are missing from the affected areas. From Tamure in Rasuwa, 123 people were airlifted, including 94 Nepalis and 29 foreigners. Due to the floods, 35 motorable bridges, 45 suspension bridges, and 40 kilometers of road are damaged. The collection of details regarding human and physical losses is ongoing. Travel has been discouraged on: Prithvi Highway, Galchhi-Nuwakot-Rasuwa-Syabrubesi Road, Muglin.
