Mustang, September 17: Nepal Red Cross Society has distributed relief materials to communities affected by the earthquake that struck Lomanthang Rural Municipality in Upper Mustang on September 9.
In coordination with local authorities and stakeholders, the Red Cross assessed the situation and identified immediate needs of affected families. A total of 100 relief sets have been prepared for distribution.
Blankets and mattresses were provided to residential students of three earthquake-affected schools—Divyadeep Secondary School, Chhonup Jinjyu Basic School and Rastriya Basic School. In addition, 100 tarpaulins will be distributed across all five wards of Lomanthang.
The Mustang District Chapter team also conducted a field assessment of the most affected areas and collected information on damages and fully damaged structures.
