Twinning agreement held

Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) and Afghan Red Crescent Society have started special relationship with an agreement. Mr. Hari Prasad Neupane, Deputy Secretary General of NRCS and Dr. Mohammad Nabi Burhan, Under Secretary General of Afgan Red Crescent inked the twinning agreement this week in Kabul, Afghanistan.

After signing the document, Mr. Hari Prasad Neupane said "The objective of the agreement is to outline the process of interaction into a close and mutually beneficial pattern of relations and technical cooperation between the two National Societies and forge mutual relations."

Mutually agreed cooperation area include exchange of information and support beneficial and advantageous for both parties including youth and volunteer management, health, disaster response and community engagement and accountability among others. The agreement also explores possibilities of collaboration in the field of human resource development.

As per the agreement, both National Societies will identify contact and focal points for its proper implementation.
