The President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Mr. Tadateru Konoe will be on an official three- day visit to Nepal from 24 to 26 June, 2015. Mr.
Representatives from 25 National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies came together in Kathmandu to plan the Nepal Red Cross (NRCS) and the International Federation’s joint recovery plan after the two devastating earthquakes which struck Nepal in April and May.
Nepal Red Cross Society continues earthquake response activities. Here is the situation update, June 8, that shows statistical progress.
Situation update, 8th June
Nepal Red Cross Society has received about five hundred ninety three thousands cash support for earthquake response activities. We had earlier on 25th May shared the first version of donation list that included cash donation through different channels.
Nepal Red Cross has reached to 2.3 million people after the quake. Please find the updates of Red Cross action in following table.

As a part of current earthquake operation, NRCS, in support Red Cross Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement and non-Movement partners, has been rendering humanitarian services.
“The experience was primarily a positive one and we feel that most patients ultimately received appropriate care during the emergency facilitated by Nepal Red Cross Society in partnership with the Government of Nepal and local communities.
