Nepal Red Cross is at the forefront of earthquake response. NRCS plays an important auxiliary role to the government in humanitarian affairs and has designated responsibilities in disaster preparedness and response in the government’s contingency plans at national and district levels.

Nepal Red Cross Society is providing emergency medical service to various  earthquake affedcted districts. It provides various services such as primary health care to serious operations. NRCS also provided airlifting for some serious cases to Kathmandu for further treatment.

Nepal Red Cross Society is intensifying its services in shelter, health and care, water and sanittion and restoring family links. Sofar the National Society has reached more than 2 million people with its services in affected districts.
